White fused alumina is characterized by purity of composition. It is made by the method of electric arc melting of purified alumina. Contains about 98-9% aluminum oxide Al2O3. The minimum content of impurities caused increased hardness, strength, and fire resistance. Suitable for processing (grinding, sharpening) high-speed, stainless steel, natural stone. Features:
microhardness: 2000 kgf/mm2 - 2100 kgf/mm2;
melting point - 2050°C
Main scope of application:
grinding, fitting of parts made of different grades of steel;
giving the surface of metal products, glass, granite a slight roughness, for example, when matting;
metallurgy - used for the deposition of a non-stick layer of molds;
production of grinding and grinding wheels, bars, sandpaper;
it is added to the composition in the production of ceramic insulators for radio components.
