Steel shot and grit is one of the types of abrasive that are designed for cleaning and processing various products as consumables for shot blasting, shot blasting machines.

In our company you can order several types of shot:

Cast steel;
Steel grit.

Depending on the purpose, you can order technical steel shot fractions from 0.3 to 6 mm. Made in compliance with state standards, it is characterized by high strength and wear resistance. During shot blasting and shot blasting, it can be reused.

Where steel shot is used

The steel shot used in processing makes it possible to obtain a smooth, high-quality surface with a hardened surface layer. It has no alternatives in the processing of various mechanisms, where precise fit and wear resistance are important, for example, in the manufacture of engine parts, boiler equipment, foundry dies.

Main fields of use

cleaning of castings, forgings, other metal products;
surface preparation of metal products before applying paint and varnish or electroplating;
removal of welds, irregularities on finished metal products or workpieces;
cleaning of metal surfaces from rust, cement mortar residues;
hardening of the surface of spring sheets, springs, torsion shafts, gear gears, and other parts with complex geometry;
sawing, cutting, grinding of granite slabs, cutting of sheet steel;
processing and cleaning of molds for casting high-precision parts of turbines, engines.

Sometimes steel shot can be added to the composition of heavy, especially strong concrete mixtures, used as ballast for locomotives, in shipbuilding.
